Questions

Do antlerless hunts use bonus or preference points?

Antlerless deer (code AND), antlerless elk (ANE) and doe pronghorn (ANP) use preference points. Antlerless moose (ANM) and ewe Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep (ANR) use bonus points. Source: DWR 2026 Antlerless Application Guidebook hunt tables.

When was the 2026 antlerless application period?

June 9 (8 a.m. MDT) to June 23 (11 p.m. MDT), 2026. Results were available July 8. 2027 dates post when DWR publishes the 2027 antlerless guidebook.

Are some antlerless permits set aside for youth?

Yes. The 2026 antlerless guidebook says 20% of the permits for antlerless deer, antlerless elk and doe pronghorn are reserved for hunters who are 17 or younger by July 31.
